The series takes place in a high school in Japan, where music is a big part of student life. Bocchi, the main protagonist, is a shy and introverted girl who is afraid of people and social interactions. However, she has a secret passion for rock music and plays the guitar in her room. One day, she meets a popular girl in school named Raku, who is also the president of the school’s light music club. Raku is determined to revive the club, which is on the verge of disbanding, and she convinces Bocchi to join.
