Chizuru Iwasaki <100% TRUSTED>

Most Pokémon fans know Ken Sugimori’s iconic art. But few know the name — and it’s time to change that.

Her art style brought a softer, more organic feel to early Pokémon designs, influencing the look of countless creatures we now take for granted. She also contributed to Pokémon Gold & Silver before leaving Game Freak in the late 1990s.

Iwasaki was a Game Freak illustrator and designer who worked on the original Pokémon Red & Green . She is best known for creating the : 🔹 Venusaur 🔹 Charizard 🔹 Blastoise chizuru iwasaki

That’s right — the three most beloved final-stage starters in franchise history came from her pen.

Tragically, Chizuru Iwasaki passed away in 2020, but her work remains alive in every battle, every playthrough, and every childhood memory shaped by those three final evolutions. Most Pokémon fans know Ken Sugimori’s iconic art
